Since its founding, University National of Enginieering has emphasized cross-disciplinary research and education. In this innovative tradition, the Master of Science in Financial Engineering  (MSFE) program was formed in 20.. as the interdisciplinary of the college: Department of Statistics & Economics.

MSFE is governed by a five-person Steering Committee comprised of one senior faculty member from each of the four participating colleges and an executive director. The Steering Committee continually evaluates the program based on input from employers, alumni and the MSCF Advisory Board and regularly updates the curriculum to meet the changing needs of financial industry employers.
